Navigating NMIT Campuses
Our clear campus signage is designed to help you find your way easily.
Each building is identified by a letter. For instance, the ?konga Hub is A Block, marked with the letter A on its exterior.
Finding a room is straightforward. Room codes follow a simple pattern: block > level > room. For example, to find Room A211, head to Building A, go to Level 2, and then find Room 11.

Nelson campus
Our Nelson campus is based on a single city block and is an open and easy to navigate environment.The Nelson campus location means quick and easy access to the cafés, bars and shopping in Nelson city. You’re never far from anywhere
Marlborough Campus
Nestled among mountain ranges, fertile plains, intricate waterways and thriving aviation, aquaculture and viticulture industries, our Marlborough campus delivers real world learning at its finest.About 20 minutes walk from Blenheim city center
Woodbourne Campus
Located 8km west of Blenheim, The Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Base Woodbourne Campus is home to NMIT's aircraft maintenance programmes. Campus facilities include a 3-bay workshop, an RNZAF machine workshop, and other purpose-built teaching facilities to put theoretical knowledge into practice by working on actual aircraft, and they are in high demand by employers nationwide. The NMIT “Into-Employment” aeronautical engineering programme is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the commercial aeronautical engineering industry. NMIT is New Zealand's first approved New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (NZCAA) Part 147 Certified Maintenance Training Organisation.
Richmond Campus
The Richmond Campus is just a 10-minute walk from Richmond's busy shopping centre. A food truck and SANITI events add to the campus culture. It provides dedicated study areas and support for learners. The campus is home to various programmes, such as apiculture, horticulture, carpentry, maritime firefighting training, and the conservation Kaitiaki Whenua Trainee Ranger programme. A red flag displayed on the Breathing Apparatus Training Building (BATB) signals fire training is taking place. The campus is easily accessible from Motueka, Mapua and Moutere by car or a 15-minute drive from central Nelson via car or eBus, and there are a variety of accommodation options available for students.
