The New Zealand Diploma in Business Level 5 Accounting strand allows you to launch your career in accounting with the operational skills to manage a business’s daily functions. The completion of the New Zealand Diploma in Business Level 5 in Accounting meets the competency requirements for the designation of Accounting Technician with CA ANZ.
You will learn the fundamentals of accounting covering, financial statements, taxation, business law, Treaty of Waitangi and more. In addition the applied teaching method will provide a safe environment to develop essential employable skills including effective communication, collaboration and team work across mediums, problem solving and decision making. Aims of Programme
This Programme aims to prepare students with a general and specialised business and accounting knowledge and skills that can be applied in a range of operational roles.
Graduates will be prepared to contribute to the achievement of business operational objectives, through the application of knowledge and skills, in an ethical manner and in a bi- and multi-cultural environment. In addition, graduates will have specialised knowledge and skills for application in operational roles in New Zealand business entities.

Level 8 (Postgraduate Diploma)
- Duration: Equal to length of study, OR
- Up to 3 years in some cases (if part of higher qualification pathway)
Level 9 and 10 (Master’s degree and Doctoral degree)
