Complete your studies in community services, by enrolling in CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services. This course further advances your skills by teaching you how to listen to and understand people’s problems, background and circumstances, and to provide support in areas they are struggling.
You will gain the skills to assist clients to access existing support systems and networks, as well as develop client-centered programs, which will address their immediate and long-term struggles. The Diploma will also train you to assess clients, identify their needs, and link them in with services that will meet those needs. You will learn how to monitor client progress and how to deal with any setbacks that arise along the way.
During your studies, you will also acquire high-level communication skills and the ability to develop strategies for high-risk groups within the community using legal and ethical compliance frameworks. As part of this course, you will undertake a supervised or simulated work placement where you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge you have learned.
