This course will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to work effectively with individuals and groups in residential and community settings to identify their needs, and plan and develop appropriate services to meet those needs.
You will learn about the community services sector including mental health, alcohol and other drug services, and domestic violence services. You will acquire skills in communication, working effectively, and appropriately with individuals and groups in a variety of settings, gathering, maintaining, and providing information, advocacy and community development processes, ethical behavior, and the legal responsibilities of community workers.
As part of this course, you will undertake work experience to build some of your skills and knowledge of community services in an Australian context.

- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
