You will develop the skills to be able to plan, implement, and manage programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing accreditation, and duty of care requirements. You will also learn about ethical work practices, the legal requirements of the industry, staff supervision, and the requirements to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
During this course, you will gain extensive knowledge in advanced care routines including working with families from culturally diverse ethical backgrounds and observing and recording children's behavior. You will also undertake a supervised work placement where you will apply all these skills and knowledge so that when you finish your studies, you will have the experience to develop strategies that will provide a healthy, safe and caring environment for children.
