Ontario College Diploma - Office Administration - Executive (Internship)

Office Administration is a role that involves regular interaction with all levels of an organization. Today's competitive global businesses require office professionals to be responsible, to manage the administrative tasks that support their fast-paced, dynamic office environments and to provide effective support to all levels of management. Employers need administrative professionals with exceptional computer skills using a wide variety of software programs, the ability to communicate professionally, the ability to provide excellent customer service, and the organizational expertise to keep the office running smoothly.

This Executive diploma program is designed for those seeking challenge and responsibility, advanced business technical skills, and are known for having a keen eye for detail. Students will learn to apply advanced administrative professional skills and manage professional business applications to achieve highly-skilled office careers. Administrative professionals often act as a connecting link between the senior management and the employees in an organization.

Students develop their technical skills including computerized accounting, business communications, interpersonal, social media and web management. With a wide variety of hands-on practical experience built into the program, and emphasis on professional business applications, critical thinking, meeting and event management and problem solving, graduates of this program are fully trained to meet the demands of today's evolving office environment.

Students experience an active learning environment including an optional internship in Term 4 that provides up to 180 hours of practical office experience. Executive students are strongly encouraged to register for the CPL-1003 Internship course. Students also produce a professional portfolio and participate in a professional mock job interview.
