PARAMEDIC SCIENCE WITH INTEGRATED MASTER'S - MSCI

The curriculum focuses not only on developing lifesaving skills and clinical interventions, in a wide range of out-of-hospital settings, but also prepares you in providing care for a range of complex health needs in the 'in-hospital' or primary care setting being at the forefront of contemporary paramedic practice. You will develop your confidence and competence through engagement with real-life scenarios and through the use of specialist resources such as a fully equipped paramedic training ambulance, the skills labs, anatomy suite, high-fidelity simulation, multi-professional trauma days and major incident scenarios.

Our curriculum has been co-designed with a wide range of stakeholders, including practitioners, employers, commissioners, service users and students, ensuring you will begin your career with the relevant skills and experiences.

On qualification you will achieve an Integrated Master's degree in Paramedic Science which provides eligibility to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (pending approval) as a registered Paramedic. Because the programme will utilise a rotational model as detailed by the Health Education England Rotating Paramedic Programme (2018), you will engage with a wide range of practice experiences to support improvement of patient experience and provide a range of career opportunities upon qualification.

The 4-year programme will also prepare you with enhanced assessment skills, leadership and evidence based practice to support more rapid career development.

ACCESS TO HE DIPLOMA REQUIREMENTS

  • Obtain Access to Higher Education Diploma with 122 UCAS Tariff points including a minimum of 30 Level 3 credits at Distinction.

GCSE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs in total at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent):
  • English Language/Literature at Grade C/4 or above
  • Maths at Grade C/4 or above
  • Science at Grade C/4 or above

INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM (IELTS)

  • IELTS at level 7 with no element below 6.5

India

CISCE / CBSE / West Bengal Class XII: 60% - 90% required depending on course. Plus any subject-specific requirements. 

All other State Boards Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard Class XII: 65% - 95% required depending on course. Plus any subject-specific requirements. 

2 years of study must have been completed.

English Requirements

CISCE/CBSE Class XII: 70% or above in English, depending on course.

All other State Boards Class XII (except Punjab or Mohali School Education Board): 75% or above in English, depending on course.

Must have been completed within the last 5 years.

The study should be taught in English. Otherwise, IELTS is required.
