Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry criteria

A typical offer is:

  • Politics and History (LV21) – 112 UCAS points
  • Politics and Economics (LL12) – 112 UCAS points
  • Politics and International Relations (L245) – 112 UCAS points
  • Politics and Journalism (LPF5) – 104 UCAS points

You need to study at least two subjects at A-level or equivalent (eg BTEC**)

  • International Baccalaureate: 28 + points
  • All students must have at least five GCSEs grades A–C including English Language and Maths.
  • Pass Access with 30 Level 3 credits at Merit (or equivalent)

English (Language or Literature) and Maths GCSE required as separate qualifications at grade C

We will normally require students to have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course

India

  • Minimum of 65% average in your four best subjects (excluding Hindi) in Standard 12. We may also check your standard 10 results in English and Maths.
  • For Engineering courses, you will need a minimum of 60% in Maths. 

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

  • Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus, and a grading guide.

Sri Lanka

  • 55-65% in three A-levels, depending on the course you choose.

  • A-levels or a recognized Foundation Course
