Graduate Certificate in Bioethics
The University of Sydney bioethics program provides a comprehensive overview of the field of bioethics through interdisciplinary coursework at postgraduate level.
Core units cover philosophical, sociological, and legal approaches to bioethics. Students can also pursue areas of special interest in bioethics, such as biotechnology, clinical ethics, research ethics, public health ethics, health law and mental health ethics.

Students can choose to enrol in a graduate certificate, graduate diploma or a master's degree. Our flexible study program also allows you to start at the graduate certificate level and proceed to the master's degree.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing
IELTS score - A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band
TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
Admission to the Graduate Certificate in Bioethics requires a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification in the field of science, medicine, nursing, allied health sciences, philosophy/ethics, sociology, anthropology, history, law or other relevant field.
