Master of Mental Health Nursing (60 credit points)
Completion of the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing can be used as credit towards the Master of Mental Health Nursing or a pathway into the Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner).

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
A successful applicant for admission to the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing will hold
a pre-registration nursing degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or
an embedded graduate certificate in this discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification.
In exceptional circumstances the dean may admit applicants without these qualifications who, in the opinion of the School, have qualifications and evidence of experience and achievement sufficient to successfully undertake the award.
In addition, the applicant is required to be a registered nurse in Australia or overseas and satisfy the English language proficiency requirements.
Domestic applicants are required to have a minimum of one year's experience as a registered nurse and be working primarily in the provision of care to people with mental health problems.
International applicants are required to have a minimum of one year's experience in mental health nursing.
The academic requirements that are displayed are applicable to currently available courses only, and are updated annually in October and may be changed without notice. TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing
IELTS score - A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band
TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
