Doctoral of Medicine
At the beginning of the Doctoral Program of Medical Sciences held at the Graduate Program of Airlangga University, in accordance with the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 593 / DIKTI / Kep / 1993 dated November 4, 1993 concerning the Granting of Master and Doctoral Program Implementation License at Airlangga University. The licensing license was updated with the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education. 79 / DIKTI / Kep / 2007 dated April 2, 2007 and Rector of Airlangga University Regulation no. 13 / H3 / PR / 2011 dated June 20, 2011.
Doctoral Program of Medical Sciences changed its name into Medical Science Study Program Post Graduate after there was a transfer from Postgraduate Program to Medical Faculty of Airlangga University on February 24, 2012, according to the Official Report of Handover Transferring Doctoral Program Doctorate of Postgraduate Medical Science of Airlangga University. 681 / H3.8 / PPd / 2012.

MISSION OF THE STUDY PROGRAM
1. Organizing innovative creative education, research, research and innovative policy research to support the development of education; Undermine expertise in science, technology, humanities and the arts to society 2. To strive for independence in the implementation of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi through the development of management institutions oriented to quality and ability to compete internationally.

Implementation of Medical Science Study Program Doctorate Level FK UNAIR follows Semester Credit System (SKS) with study load as measured by credit semester (sks). Learning activities are organized with teaching, seminars, self-study, scientific communication, research, dissertation writing, and scientific work. The study loads 52 Doctoral Programs (fifty two) credits scheduled for 6 (six) semesters and a maximum of 10 (ten) semesters.
