Graduate Diploma in Arts - Political Science and International Relations
The Graduate Diploma in Arts offers people who hold a bachelor's degree in a major in an unrelated area the opportunity to study arts in-depth, choosing from over 30 subjects.
The GradDipArts is designed for graduates seeking to qualify for entry to postgraduate qualifications in arts, to change career direction, or to extend or upgrade their existing qualification(s).
The Graduate Diploma in Arts is made up of 120 points from Arts subjects. Of these, 90 points must be at 300-level, including 60 in a single subject.
A maximum of 15 points towards the GradDipArts may be taken from other non-Arts subjects. Normally all courses would be from the same subject.
The GradDipArts takes 1 year full-time, or up to 5 years part-time.
The GradDipArts requires a total of 120 points of courses. At least 90 points must be from courses at 300-level, and 60 must be within a single subject from the list below.

PSW Opportunity
- During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
- After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
- After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.

Students must either have:
- 1. a qualification equivalent to a New Zealand university bachelor degree, or
- 2. been admitted with Academic Equivalent Standing as entitled to enroll for a Graduate Diploma
