Study the full range of human stages, from infancy to adolescence to the elderly, and explore family relationships that shape the individual. This interdisciplinary, human development major connects you with new knowledge in psychology, family therapy, anthropology, and other fields exploring the individual, and society. "Life-Span Human Development" is one foundational course that captures the essence of human development and family studies major. Investigate the earliest stages of life and the final stages leading to death—and everything in between. An application course challenges you to research or practice your talents in the community. NSU's strong emphasis on comprehensive health care gives you a holistic and empathetic perspective. More than 20 NSU clinics serve the community's physical and mental health needs. You'll glean from a range of dedicated research programs, such as those for early childhood, substance abuse, and technology. Connect with current authors visiting campus, or become an author and present your research at NSU—and beyond.
