Bachelor's Degree in Health and Wellness Coaching

Completing an undergraduate degree in the Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Health and Wellness Coaching Program can open doors to exciting careers and further graduate studies. This professional specialty focuses on helping people to find ways to lead healthier lives. The program will provide a strong foundation toward a variety of health professional degrees as well as stand-alone career options. You will have opportunities to apply what you learn with hands-on, experiential classes. Students will complete two coaching practicum courses in the community with both individual and group clients. Students will learn to provide personalized health solutions for patient/clients in a holistic manner—including the ability to assess client lifestyles and family support systems, develop a tailored diet and/or wellness plans, create health education materials, conduct health workshops and seminars, build a clinical practice, and apply solution-building strategies to coaching.

The interprofessional experiences of our faculty members will provide you with a real-world perspective on the benefits, rewards, and challenges of working in health and wellness coaching. The program also provides a strong foundation for students who want to continue their education in other health-related postgraduate programs or in behavioral health professions such as family therapy.
