Certificate III in Fishing Operations
If you enjoy fishing and want to work on the water, then enrol into the Certificate III in Fishing Operations. This course will further expand your knowledge in a range of fishing processes such as vessel handling, charter operations, commercial fishing techniques, fisheries management and marine science.
You will be involved in coastal navigation and meteorology, marine biology and ecology and the use of technology in the Aquaculture field. By the end of this course, you will have the seaman skills to operate a small vessel and be able to apply management skills across the fishing operations industry. The course is available at Central Regional TAFE, Geraldton campus, which is a coastal city in the mid-west region of Western Australia. Upon completion of your studies, you have the option to continue into the Diploma of Aquaculture for a further 12 months.

Geraldton is a vibrant regional city located on the historic Batavia coast, with scenic rolling hills and breakaway ranges to the east, and Chapman and Greenough Rivers to the north and south. Geraldton campus facilities include childcare, a training restaurant, library, bookshop, café, and well-equipped computer labs. There is on-campus student accommodation available at Pepperell Village.
