Certificate III in Companion Animal Services
If you love animals and want to make sure they are receiving the best care, then enrol in the Certificate III in Companion Animal Services. This course will open doors to a career in the animal industry, and will broaden your knowledge so that you can provide the best care for companion animals. It will teach you the required skills to undertake services such as pet grooming, animal exercise programs, maintaining animal health and basic animal first aid for companion animals such as dogs, cats, rodents and rabbits.
You will also learn the foundations of animal nutrition and care, along with workplace safety and health. Students studying at the Bentley campus will be working with dogs, fish, mammals and reptiles. Students studying at the Murdoch campus will be mainly working with dogs and fish. If you want to continue your studies, you could consider enrolling into the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Students must be 17 years of age prior to commencing this course, in order to participate in the work placement.
Completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 10.
