Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Accounting Specialization
A degree from Auburn University at Montgomery will give you a number of career choices. When you graduate, you will be equipped to work in a variety of professional settings, including public accounting, for-profit entities, and/or government/non-profit agencies. The problem-solving skills and ethical awareness you’ll develop at AUM will prepare you to earn professional certifications and professional leadership roles.
Seniors in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with an accounting specialization program can take graduate classes in the Master of Accountancy degree program and waive the GMAT with good grades.
BSBA Accounting Specialization
The accounting specialization prepares students to enter a variety of accounting careers. Students should finish the required College of Business core curriculum before starting the Accounting Specialization. The accounting program consists of six required core courses, designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills generally expected of all entry-level accountants, and two required accounting electives. Students have the opportunity to select electives, allowing them to tailor their educational experience based on their goals after AUM.

- Educational background for entry into and advancement in the accounting profession
- Skills necessary for success in the accounting profession, including the ability to:
- Research problems using the appropriate professional literature
- Apply advanced accounting concepts in problem solving and decision making
- Define their ethical responsibilities as members of the accounting profession

- Requirements: Full Admissions- minimum 18 ACT or 940 SAT score and 2.3 GPA; if you are a Bridge student, a minimum 17 ACT or 900 SAT score and 2.3 GPA is required.
