As an IS student at AUM, you will learn to analyze, design, develop, and maintain information systems to support business activities and day-to-day operations across the organization so that the business can achieve a competitive advantage in the market. The program will give you the skills you need to perform the functions of business information processing and management.

AUM students specializing in information systems know how to evaluate data and turn numbers into lucrative business strategies. Course work prepares you for certain industry certifications upon graduation. You’ll train in high-end technology labs and collaborate with teams of peers, professors, and professionals in the field. Our business faculty have many relationships in the Montgomery-area job market, so you’ll have the chance to pursue quality internship and career networking opportunities.

PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Your official high school transcript (which should be mailed directly to AUM from your high school).
Your official ACT or SAT score report.
Requirements: Full Admissions- minimum 18 ACT or 940 SAT score and 2.3 GPA, if you are a Bridge student, a minimum 17 ACT or 900 SAT score and 2.3 GPA is required.

Proof of English proficiency (unless you are exempt). You can take the TOEFL IBT (minimum 61 points), the IELTS (minimum 5.5 points), PTE (minimum 44), Duolingo (minimum 100), or the TOEFL PBT (minimum 500 points).
