Master of Digital Humanities
Digital Humanities is an emerging field of inter-disciplinary study. It involves the application of digital techniques and computational analysis to the sorts of research questions traditionally asked by scholars in the humanities disciplines. Many jobs require broad competencies and understandings of the powerful role of technology in society. There is also an increasing demand for practical computing and software skills including for research and analysis of data.
In offering a unique combination of postgraduate units from the School of Humanities and Communication Arts and the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics. The Master of Digital Humanities allows students to develop practical as well as theoretical skills in this field. You will develop advanced strategic thinking capacity, build skills and resources, and explore the future of a digital world. You will also learn how to leverage these skills and capacities in a range of environments. You will extend your experience portfolio, building advanced capacities in strategic communication, new research methodologies in digital humanities and undertake a media research project. From mobile media to network technologies, from cyber justice to strategic communication, you will acquire a thorough knowledge of the digital humanities landscape.
