Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level)

The Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) is designed for students of age 14 years old and above, who aspire to acquire a qualification that is recognised by many countries and progress to higher education and vocational studies.

Upon completion of the course, students will sit for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) which is conducted jointly by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), the Ministry of Education, Singapore and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB).

The GCE O-Level system is equivalent to the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examination taken by students in the United Kingdom.

Academic Positions (Part-Time)
Associate Lecturer(s) will be appointed on part-time basis to cater to short-term teaching requirements. After the recruitment process has concluded, the official appointment will take place three (3) to six (6) months prior to the commencement of classes or it will be subject to the availability of teaching classes.

Applicants must possess a recognised University degree. Any other relevant professional qualifications, industry experience and pedagogical training would be advantageous.

PSW Opportunity

  • The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
  • Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
  • They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Language Proficiency: Secondary 3 English / Certificate in English or equivalent / IELTS 5.0 or equivalent / Online English Placement Test conducted by MDIS / Achieve score of 75 and above in Duolingo English Test or equivalent
16 Months

Completed at least Secondary 3 education or equivalent
