Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)

The Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) is designed for students who have completed GCE O-Level with acceptable results, to gain access to undergraduate studies locally and internationally.

Upon completion of the course, students will sit for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) which is conducted jointly by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), the Ministry of Education, Singapore and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB).

The GCE A-Level certificate is a qualification recognised internationally and valued by universities and employers alike. It allows students to gain entry into local and overseas universities to further their education.

Full-Time Positions (Non-Academic & Academic)

Academic Positions (Part-Time)
Associate Lecturer(s) will be appointed on part-time basis to cater to short-term teaching requirements. After the recruitment process has concluded, the official appointment will take place three (3) to six (6) months prior to the commencement of classes or it will be subject to the availability of teaching classes.

Applicants must possess a recognised University degree. Any other relevant professional qualifications, industry experience and pedagogical training would be advantageous.

PSW Opportunity

  • The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
  • Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
  • They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Admission Requirements

3 Credits in GCE O-Level / Year 10 or equivalent
Minimum Age: 17 (as at 1st January of the year of GCE A-Level examinations)
Language Proficiency: At least a Pass (Grade C6) in GCE O-Level / Year 10 English / Certificate in English (CIE) or equivalent / Online English Placement Test conducted by MDIS / Achieve score of 75 and above in Duolingo English Test or equivalent
