Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Media and Digital Practice (Top-Up)

New digital technologies bring about fundamental shifts in the way we produce, distribute and consume media. This degree combines practical digital media production skills with the critical study of new media forms. Essentially, you will develop creative and professional new media techniques associated with the contemporary, emerging and multi-platform digital media industry.

Full-Time Positions (Non-Academic & Academic)

Academic Positions (Part-Time)
Associate Lecturer(s) will be appointed on part-time basis to cater to short-term teaching requirements. After the recruitment process has concluded, the official appointment will take place three (3) to six (6) months prior to the commencement of classes or it will be subject to the availability of teaching classes.

Applicants must possess a recognised University degree. Any other relevant professional qualifications, industry experience and pedagogical training would be advantageous.

PSW Opportunity

  • The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
  • Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
  • They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be age 17 and above and meet one of the following requirements:
Year 2 Entry^:

Higher Diploma+ in Mass Communications awarded by MDIS OR
Relevant Diploma level qualifications awarded by other Private Education Institutions (PEIs) or recognised Higher Education providers in a media-and-communications-related discipline, (which are deemed by the University to be equivalent to Year 1 of the University course) with an entry requirement of 12 years of formal education*
Year 3 Entry^:

Relevant polytechnic diplomas in a media-and-communications-related discipline, (which are deemed by the University to be equivalent to Year 1 AND Year 2 of the University course) with a pass grade* OR
Relevant overseas polytechnic diplomas in a media-and-communications-related discipline, (which are deemed by the University to be equivalent to Year 1 AND Year 2 of the University course) with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education* OR
Higher National Diploma (HND) in media-and-communications-related disciplines* OR
Relevant PEI qualification in a media-and-communications-related discipline (which are deemed by the University to be equivalent to Year 1 AND Year 2 of the University course) with an entry requirement of 12 years of formal education*.
^ Note: Some applicants may need to take bridging modules within the programme and/or from Higher Diploma in Mass Communications awarded by MDIS to secure entry onto the programme.

Applicants must meet at least one of the following English Language requirements:

Possess a minimum C6 grade in English at GCE 'O' Level OR
