What to Expect in the Graphic Design Program
You’ll first be grounded in solid art foundations including drawing, design, and history courses. You’ll then advance to upper level classes specializing in your given field, culminating in a portfolio of work that will prepare you for entry into the workforce.

This program also emphasizes real world experience, evident in our internship requirement for in-field-experience between your junior and senior year. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your work in the Coburn Gallery at Ashland University’s Annual Student Exhibition and will be reviewed twice a year as part of the Department of Art’s assessment process.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate: 2.5 GPA, 18 ACT or 960 SAT
Nursing Undergraduate: 3.0 GPA, 20 ACT or 1030 SAT

Our incoming undergraduate students obtain, on average, a 3.4 GPA and a 23 ACT score.

If you don't think you meet both automatic admission requirements, you should still apply as you may meet alternative criteria for admission.

Did you graduate from high school, or the equivalent, 3+ years ago? No standardized test score required.
