Master of Environmental Planning

With an increasingly urbanised population, the need to ensure planned development and utilisation of our urban and natural environment is paramount, both in Australia and overseas. This course explores how professionals in the fields of planning, development and conservation are working towards sustainable urban design, conservation of natural resources and urban heritage management. Students will be trained in advanced data collection and analysis techniques in the fields of landscape design, urban design, natural area management and environmental protection. This course opens up career progression in a wide range of fields encompassing urban planning, urban conservation, natural resource management and conservation both domestically and overseas.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—
(a) a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;
and
(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent; or
(c) Significant work experience including at least 5 years with a material level of responsibility.
