Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management

Designed for technically skilled graduates with a background in some of the basic aspects of IT management, the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management will supplement and extend your practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

You will be able to study a selection of postgraduate subjects covering a core set of IT management topics. You will also have the opportunity to select from a number of elective topics to expand your studies in related areas. You may undertake this course full time over one year or part time over two years. The graduate diploma builds on the foundation of the graduate certificate. You may count coursework undertaken in this graduate diploma towards the requirements for the Master of Information Technology Management.

The course has been specifically designed for graduates who are currently moving along, or seeking to move along, a career path through managerial roles such as project manager, program manager, general manager of operations, chief information officer or chief technology officer.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

 an Australian bachelor's degree in information technology and information systems with a credit average (60 percent) or equivalent qualification or
 an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a credit average (60 percent) and a major sequence of study in computing engineering, software engineering, or equivalent qualification or 
 an Australian bachelor's degree in an unrelated discipline with a credit average (65 percent) and two years' professional work experience in the information technology industry, or equivalent qualifications or
 a University of Sydney Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management with a credit average (65 percent). Units completed in the graduate certificate can be credited to the graduate diploma.
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution and qualification.

TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing

IELTS score - A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing

Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
