Course opportunities
If you are not ready to commit to undertaking the Master of Environmental Law but have an interest in studying our coursework units, you can start with a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law (GradDipEnvLaw), which consists of four units of study. On successful completion, you may apply for transfer to the master’s degree, which requires a further four units of study.

The Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law (GradDipEnvLaw) is designed for those working in Environmental Law and Policy who wish to upgrade their qualification(s) for the purposes of career advancement or professional and academic interest.

Available places will be offered to qualified applicants based on merit, according to the following admissions criteria. Admission to candidature for the Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law requires a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney; or an equivalent qualification.

TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing

IELTS score - A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing

Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
