Enhance your skills and expertise in teaching the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies through our new Master of Education (Digital Technologies).

The program will provide you with an in-depth understanding of fundamental computer science concepts such as digital systems and data representation, algorithm design and implementation through professional development and training, and strategic planning and school leadership.

This program is unique for developing Technological, Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) as well as strategies for leading the adoption and implementation of the new Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies.

The program is suitable for aspiring school leaders, and for teachers seeking further accreditation in the Australian Professional Standards for Teacher

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Admission to candidature for the Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Digital Technologies) requires:

a Bachelor of Education from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification and either the completion of postgraduate studies, or professional experience equivalent to one year full-time in a field considered by the Faculty to be appropriate to the program of study; or
a bachelor's degree and either the Graduate Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or
a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification and either the completion of postgraduate studies in Education, or professional experience equivalent to two years full-time in a field considered by the Faculty to be appropriate to the program of study.
Subject to meeting progression requirements in the graduate certificate, you may apply to transfer to the Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies or the Master of Education.

TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing

IELTS score - A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing

Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
