Career Success
The M.A. TESOL program prepares graduates for exciting global career opportunities in teaching, research, program development and administration, instructional material and test development, professional training, language coaching and more.
Upon completion of the program our graduates have found positions teaching in schools, in higher education, and in other private and public educational contexts-- in Israel, in their home countries, and around the globe. Some have opened their own programs, such as an English-speaking nursery school in Israel.
Graduates are also working as English language coaches in the business sector, in educational publishing, and in language testing and consulting. Others have continued on to PhD programs in prestigious universities around the world. Graduates have also combined their TESOL expertise with that gained in their undergraduate studies and have carved out their own career niche--for example, in speech therapy or in teaching English through drama.
Please note: Teaching certification is required in order to teach in public schools and requirements vary according to the context (for example, in the USA, requirements may vary from state to state). In Israel, a graduate of the TESOL program is expected to get teaching certification through the Ministry of Education –some course requirements will have already been fulfilled by the TESOL program.
