Games Arts BA (Hons)
Become a skilled 2D or 3D games artist, learn to prototype new game concepts and become a team player on our highly respected and industry-focused BA (Hons) Games Arts degree.
Creating whole new worlds and characters is the main remit for our course, and you’ll learn the traditional and technical skills required to become an exceptional games artist. However, you’ll also learn the workflows and processes to make games with your peers, working alongside students from the BSc (Hons) Games Technology course to give you vital preparation for industry working after graduation.
Our campus at Farnham has world class facilities with high-end hardware and the latest software, including Autodesk Maya, Substance, Quixel Suite, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Marmoset Toolbag and games engines such as Unity and Unreal.
And with so many strong industry links in games hubs across the UK, including nearby London and Guildford, you’ll have access to some of the brightest and best in the business.
Graduates have gone on to work for some of those industry links too, including SEGA, Creative Assembly, Guerrilla Games, Codemasters, Super Massive Games, Rebellion, TT Games, Hanger 13, Playground Games and many more. And others have taken their highly transferable skills to other industries including TV and film post-production VFX and interactive technologies.
You’ll be supported on the course by our team of experienced lecturers, who have worked in industry and practitioners who are currently working on games titles and researchers.
