New Zealand Certificate in English Language (General) (Level 3)
This programme is for those wanting to gain the skills needed for tertiary study, training, and/or working in New Zealand. At this level, students will develop their oral and written English language skills, using more complex language in situations and environments such as an academic or workplace context.
This programme is at a level comparable to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) high B1.

Job Opportunity Potential
After successful completion of Diploma level 6 student can get progress into Bachelor's degree. If going directly for job will be able to at technician or clerical level.
After successful completion of Graduate Diploma level 7 student can get progress into Master's degree. If going directly for job will be able to do at executive level.
PSW Opportunity
If you complete 1 or more acceptable qualifications at Levels 4 to 6:
- on or before 31 December 2021, you can apply for a visa to work in New Zealand for 2 years.
- after 31 December 2021, you can apply for a visa to work in New Zealand for 1 year.
If you complete a Graduate Diploma or another Level 7 qualification:
- on or before 31 December 2021, you can apply for a Post-study work visa for 2 years
- after 31 December 2021, you can apply for a Post-study work visa for 1 year.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be 16 years or older; and
- produce a completed New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 2) or equivalent; or
- an international English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 4.5 in all bands; or •equivalent; or
- candidates must take part in a selection interview and will be required to take a placement test to determine their current English language level and learning goals.
