IELTS Preparation Classes
Students who have completed our IELTS Preparation Programme are familiar with the format and broad contents of an IELTS test, giving them the best possible opportunity to get the IELTS result they require.
IELTS preparation classes are offered to students on NZCEL level 3 or above as a part-time option class. Students will spend 4 hours a week on specific IELTS test taking skills. This allows students to widen their vocabulary and improve world knowledge, which is very helpful when taking the IELTS exam.
IELTS preparation classes are designed to improve students’ test taking strategies, to familiarise students with the IELTS test format and to improve their English level prior to taking the test. Out of class study is strongly encouraged, to include practice in Tasks One and Two of the Writing module as well as Reading and Listening tests. Near their exam date, each candidate is given a practice speaking test. Subject areas covered are: reading skills, writing skills, listening skills, speaking skills, vocabulary development and test taking strategies.
