MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management with Business Analytics

The MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management with Business Analytics is a brand new programme of study created by Heriot-Watt University to pass on cutting-edge expertise in Business Analytics and the use of Big Data whilst highlighting the role these disciplines play in developing effective and sustainable logistics and supply chain strategies.

In recent years, the logistics and supply chain sectors have adopted an increasingly data-driven focus, leading to a greater demand for graduates who can solve complex logistics and supply chain problems through the effective analysis of data. As the industry has become increasingly data-driven so too has the work of Heriot-Watt University’s Logistics Faculty whose most recent research has resulted in significant advances in knowledge. Specifically, our academics have led the way in using data analytics and modelling techniques to develop logistics and supply chain solutions in both public and private sector organisations.

The research of the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight, conducted in partnership with the University of Cambridge, aims to reduce the environmental impact of road freight and make it more cost-effective for some of the United Kingdom’s biggest organisations. This ensures that the big data and business analysis skills taught on this programme are highly applicable to the current needs of industry, having emerged directly from the research which strives to find real-world solutions.
