BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre Performance

The University of Chichester Conservatoire has one of the largest and liveliest musical theatre departments in the UK with a community of over 400 student performers. You will get to showcase public performances with professional production teams for regional tours, major art festivals and to create and premiere new commissions.

Delivered by highly experienced practitioners in dance, choreography, acting and singing this course offers access from the first year onwards to extensive practical training in musical theatre and students will select a focus within this mix that reflects their strengths in particular areas of study.

Complementing this is the specialist development of practical skills in technical theatre and arts management – within one of the largest music and musical theatre departments in the UK.

Second and third-year students can opt to audition for performance projects at the Alexandra Theatre, other regional theatres and in our own campus performance spaces and performance projects range from large scale musical theatre with full pit orchestra set and costume to straight plays, smaller ensemble projects, and dance revues.
