B.SC IN CULINARY ARTS
Culinary arts, in which culinary means "related to cooking", are the arts of preparation, cooking and presentation of food, usually in the form of meals. People working in this field – especially in establishments such as restaurants – are commonly called "chefs" or "cooks", although, at its most general, the terms "culinary artist" and "culinarian" are also used. Table manners are sometimes referred to as a culinary art.
Expert Culinarians are required to have knowledge of food science, nutrition and diet and are responsible for preparing meals that are as pleasing to the eye as well as to the palate. After restaurants, their primary places of work include delicatessens and relatively large institutions such as hotels and hospitals.
Course Objective :
- To provide adequate Knowledge, Skill & Exposure in the field of Culinary Arts that Commensurate with the requirement of the industry
- To Prepare students to exploit newly created opportunities in the culinary Profession, Both at the domestic & International level
- To create an additional avenue of employment.
Duration :- 3 Year Full time Program Comprising of 6 Semesters
Eligibility :- A Candidate for being eligible for admission to Bachelor of Science ( Culinary Arts ) Shall
Have passed 10+2 Examination ( any Stream ) From any recognized education Board or its equivalent from India or abroad OR those candidates who have passed Std X and successfully completed a diploma in any stream of minimum two years duration from any recognized education Board / University from India or abroad.
