Specialist Practitioner (District Nursing), PGDip

This one-year qualification is for nurses who wish to pursue a career as a specialist practitioner in district nursing. We combine the study of health, policy, research and evidence-based practice to focus your career. You will explore and debate policy, theory and research related to district nursing.
Our expert tutors help you develop the required knowledge and skills to deliver patient care in district nursing services. You will learn essential leadership skills and how to head up your own team of staff responsible for this provision. Nursing skills theory is taught and assessed in our four laboratories on campus, which provide a safe and protected environment for your learning.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate Degrees (Bachelor's)
For entry to our four-year extended degree programmes, you will need to have met the following:
- Standard XII with a minimum of 50%
- 70% in English in Standard XII or English language requirements
For standard entry to our Bachelor's programmes, you will need to have met the following:
- Standard XII with a minimum of 60%(70% for Law, Architecture)
- 70% in English in Standard XII or English language requirements
Some Bachelor's degrees allow advanced entry to year 2 or year 3, depending on your study history.
For advanced entry to Year 2 and Year 3 you will need to complete:
Year 1 of a relevant degree with a minimum of 60%
Postgraduate Degrees (Master's)
For entry to our Master's programmes, you will need to have met the following:
- Four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 55% in Final Year (However, if graduating from one of the top universities :Pune, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Osmania and JNTU a minimum of 50% in final year is required)
- 70% in English in Standard XII or English language requirements
