"In the Biology program, you'll study how to integrate biological concepts at all levels from molecular to ecosystems, as well as how to understand major health issues, will all be covered as part of the curriculum. NSU’s courses in biological and physical sciences will prepare you for research, teaching, and graduate work in health professions and natural sciences. You have the opportunity to do hands-on, original research. And, you can earn credits by doing guided research in the fields of biology, genetics, cell biology, endocrinology, and more. Imagine doing research on fish parasitology, brain structure and function, and Florida panther or shark genetics. All of that is available at NSU. In addition, biology students have opportunities to take part in internships and shadow
physicians and nurses in local hospitals. "
