Health and exercise professionals play an important role in tackling the health challenges we face as a society with a range of physical activity interventions.
The BSc (Hons) Health and Exercise Science degree at Lincoln aims to inspire and empower students to become confident and efficient professionals. It prepares students to work with a broad array of issues in the physical activity and health development sector.
The course is designed to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of health, as well as the underpinning exercise science behind it. It aims to prepare students to support clients from a range of population groups, both physically and psychologically, and to prescribe evidence-based interventions according to individual requirements. This includes children, older adults, people with disabilities, and those with long-term health conditions. It is designed to empower students to be confident and efficient in working with a broad array of issues in the physical activity, exercise and health development sector.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
United Kingdom
GCE Advanced Levels: BBC
International Baccalaureate: 29 points overall
BTEC Extended Diploma: Distinction, Merit, Merit
Access to Higher Education Diploma: 45 Level 3 credits with a minimum of 112 UCAS Tariff points
Applicants will also need at least five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, which must include English, Maths and a Science or sport related subject. Equivalent Level 2 qualifications may also be considered.
Bangladesh
Prospective students require one of the following qualifications for entry onto year one of a Bachelor’s degree:
- Successful completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB) with between 27 and 34 points.
- Successful completion of three A Levels
- Successful completion of a recognized International Foundation Year program

Depending on your academic background and intended course of study, it may be possible to apply for advanced entry into year 2 or 3 of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course.
English Language Requirements
Prospective students require one of the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 70% in the Standard XII awarded by CISCE or CBSE (for courses requiring IELTS 6.0). These qualifications should usually have been completed no more than 5 years before enrolling at the University of Lincoln. However, this requirement will usually be waived for applicants who achieved the required High School English grade and subsequently completed a degree in their home country that was taught fully in English. An official letter from the previous institution, confirming that the degree was taught in English, may be required.
