Business Information Systems BSc (Hons)

Business Information Systems BSc (Hons) teaches you the knowledge and practical skills you need to participate in the development, implementation, and management of business computing projects.

HP provides 13 percent of the teaching input and offers a personal mentoring scheme, preferred placement opportunities, and professional qualifications, including PRINCE2 project management accreditation and foundation studies in Information Technology Information Library (ITIL).

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry criteria

  • Five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics or equivalent, plus one of the following:
  • Normally 104 UCAS points from at least two A-levels or equivalent or
  • BTEC National Diploma/ Extended Diploma at DMM or
  • Pass in the QAA accredited Access to HE. English and Mathematics GCSE required as a separate qualification as equivalency is not accepted within the Access qualification. We will normally require students to have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course or
  • International Baccalaureate: 24+ points
  • Foundation Year in Computing: Pass Foundation, and progression is at the discretion of the program leader. Refer to the Foundation team for further guidance.

  • Minimum of 65% average in your four best subjects (excluding Hindi) in Standard 12. We may also check your standard 10 results in English and Maths.

  • 55-65% in three A-levels, depending on the course you choose.
