Accounting and Economics BA (Hons)

You will study the nature, role, and processes of accounting and examine the ways in which political choices, processes, and ideas shape government and public life.

The Accounting modules will give you a solid grounding in key business concepts, ideas, and methodologies, while on the Economics modules you will learn how to analyze and measure real economic issues based on your knowledge of economic theory.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry criteria

  • A typical offer is 112 UCAS points. You need to study at least two subjects at A Level or equivalent (eg BTEC)
  • Five GCSEs at grades A–C including English Language and Maths
  • Pass Access with 30 Level 3 credits at Merit (or equivalent)
  • English (Language or Literature) and Maths GCSE required as separate qualifications at grade C
  • We will normally require students to have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course
  • International Baccalaureate: 26+ Points

India

  • Minimum of 65% average in your four best subjects (excluding Hindi) in Standard 12. We may also check your standard 10 results in English and Maths.
  • For Engineering courses, you will need a minimum of 60% in Maths. 

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

  • Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus, and a grading guide.

Sri Lanka

  • 55-65% in three A-levels, depending on the course you choose.
