Business Economics BA (Hons)

knowledge and real-world challenges faced by business, you will develop a deep understanding of the economics landscape.

The modules, including 'Macroeconomics for Business', 'Data Modelling and Analytics', and 'International Economics, Sustainability, and Emerging Markets', have been carefully crafted by experts in the field. Throughout your learning, you will explore a wide range of economic issues, such as the impact on standards of living, market crashes, and how economics shapes our market structures and the global business landscape. You will also explore cutting-edge trends within the sector, including ‘green’ economics, digital transformation, and market challenges.

The curriculum has been thoughtfully designed not just to educate but to empower you with analytical skills, critical evaluation capabilities, and a deep understanding of economic dynamics. To compliment your theoretical knowledge, you will develop of a robust set of skills that are highly valued in the business and economics sector, mastering key software, data analysis, teamwork, presentation skills, critical analysis, and essay writing.

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

FOR INDIA

  • Minimum of 65% average in your four best subjects (excluding Hindi) in Standard 12. We may also check your standard 10 results in English and Maths.
  • For Engineering courses, you will need a minimum of 60% in Maths. 

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

  • Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus, and a grading guide.

FOR SRI LANKA

  • 55-65% in three A-levels, depending on the course you choose.

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus, and a grading guide.

FOR BANGLADESH

  • A-levels or a recognized Foundation Course
  • GPA 5.0 out of 5.0 including 4.0 in English and Maths

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

  • Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus, and a grading guide.

FOR NEPAL

  • A-levels or a recognised Foundation course.
  • Students with 75% and above in HSC (+2) may be considered for direct entry to an undergraduate course.
  • Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio, an audition, or require a student to have a particular qualification.

English language requirements

If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide an IELTS certificate, or equivalent. Our undergraduate IELTS requirements are:

  • IELTS 6.0 for Art and Design, Business, Computing and Engineering courses
  • IELTS 6.5 for Law courses
  • IELTS 6.0-6.5 for Humanities and Media courses
  • IELTS 6.5-7.5 for Science courses
