Business Management and Human Resource Management BA (Hons)

People are fundamental to any business or organization, which is why the study of human resources is so valuable. Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), this course will educate you in a diverse and insightful range of topics linked to people in the workplace, including subjects such as managing change, employment relations, culture, motivation, and leadership. 

The dual focus of this degree helps equip you with a wide spectrum of knowledge and skills, with the opportunity to follow a general business pathway alongside a specialized focus on Human Resource Management (HRM). As part of this, you’ll gain a strong understanding of fundamental business concepts practices, and methods. 

You’ll also be able to acquire a thorough knowledge of key management topics and techniques, alongside studying modules such as Politics in Business, Employment Relations, Business Research Issues and Analysis, and HRM in the Workplace.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry criteria

  • A typical offer is 104 UCAS points. You need to study at least two subjects at A Level or equivalent (eg BTEC)
  • Five GCSEs at grades A–C including English Language and Maths
  • Pass Access with 30 Level 3 credits at Merit (or equivalent)
  • English (Language or Literature) and Maths GCSE required as separate qualifications at grade C
  • We will normally require students to have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course
  • International Baccalaureate: 24+ Points

India

  • Minimum of 65% average in your four best subjects (excluding Hindi) in Standard 12. We may also check your standard 10 results in English and Maths.
  • For Engineering courses, you will need a minimum of 60% in Maths. 

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

  • Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus, and a grading guide.

Sri Lanka

  • 55-65% in three A-levels, depending on the course you choose.
