Course Overview
NEW WORK INTERNSHIPS FEATURE:
Internship (up to 6 Months) incorporating an Applied Research Project
If you are interested in a career in human resource management, trade unions or management consultancy, this MSc programme is for you. You will examine the nature of work and explore employment relations and human resource management in changing national and international markets. The focus is on the people aspect of business and explores how the relationship between employers and employees can be managed to the best advantage of both parties.
CIPD Accredited
It is one of a small number of Irish programmes accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development CIPD, the professional body for human resource practitioners.
Our faculty includes research leaders in the subject areas of human resource management, employment relations and international management ensuring that the material delivered reflects the latest thinking in industry. Faculty and students are actively involved with the Western Region branch of CIPD providing networking opportunities with HR professionals. When you successfully complete this programme, you can become a member of CIPD, the professional body for human resource practitioners. Graduates are invited to join the alumni network with over 150 members. Our alumni post job opportunities, act as guest speakers and provide a supportive community of practice.

Minimum Entry Requirements
- H2.1 grade business or related degree, or an H2.1 in the Higher Diploma in Business Studies, is required (or equivalent international qualification). Work Experience is also considered.
- A one-minute video outlining why you wish to study for an MSc HRM, what your career plans are and why we should select you for the program (See instructions below).
- Curriculum Vitae.
- A written personal statement must be included with all applications.
- In addition, an interview may form part of the selection process for the program.
- IELTS score of 6.5 if relevant.
