MSci in Evolutionary Biology

Program Available at Cornwall (Penryn Campus)

The four-year MSci Evolutionary Biology program mirrors the BSc Evolutionary Biology program during the first three years and includes an additional fourth year during which you will undertake a research project and an advanced literature review. The research project will focus on a specialized area aligned with one of our leading research groups, and it is expected that one will be carried out in partnership with an external organization. The remainder of your time will be spent on a two-week intensive field course in which your scientific field-research, debating, and presentation skills will be further developed.

Evolutionary Biology is a fast-growing area of study, utilizing ever-more sophisticated technology to unravel the history of life on earth. During our MSci Evolutionary Biology, you will utilize our cutting-edge facilities to develop advanced knowledge in this rapidly developing field, which encompasses genetics, animal behavior, and psychology, and examine evolution from many perspectives – from the smallest building blocks of life to entire ecosystems.
