Master of Architecture (MArch) RIBA Part II
The Master of Architecture (MArch) RIBA Part II course professionally validated and prescribed taught course based in Preston. The course focuses on design innovation and current theories of architecture and urbanism to challenge your thinking and prepare you for practice. The studios, workshops and CAD suites at UCLan are among the UK’s best and you will receive regular one-to-one tutorial support from a team who are leading thinkers and practitioners in their field. In addition, opportunities for international study and lively discussion with a variety of visiting speakers will enrich your experience and inspire your creativity.
The MArch course provides progression for Part 1 Architecture graduates to a Part 2 course (which is a requirement for professional membership).

Preston
There are a variety of different ways you can access our Preston city campus, whether by rail, road or air. Preston is well served by the M6 motorway both north and south and excellent cross country rail links. There are also two major international airports in Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon.

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
55% in bachelor degree
70% in Year 12 English*
Or
70% average grade in Year 11 and Year 12 English provided Year 12 is not below 65%

Standard English language entry requirements – IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
GCSE or O-Level English Grade C - Grade C
A Level English Language - Grade C
TOEFL iBT including Special At Home Edition - 88 (with minimum grades of 21 in each component)
UCLan Test of English Language Level (TELL) - Merit (75%) with no component below pass (65%)
Pearson Test of EnglishAcademic - 61 with minimum of 55 in each component
There is no deadline for the submission of applications. However, applications for the start of each academic year should be received before September of that year.
Applicants must hold a 2:2 honours degree in architecture or equivalent subject. It is also preferable for applicants to demonstrate some professional experience in architectural practice or a related field.
Applications from all candidates will be considered on their individual merits and in the light of the nature and scope of the programme or work proposed.

International Students are required to show competence in written and spoken English in addition to meeting the course entry requirements: International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) - minimum 6.5.
All applicants are requested to submit a digital portfolio. Digital portfolios should demonstrate your skills in abstract and detailed drawing using digital techniques as well as illustrative sketching, applying a variety of media. You should also include examples of different projects you have undertaken, showing how you have worked through a project from research to final presentation.
