Physiology is the study of the organ systems of the human body and how they control and maintain body function in both normal (health) and pathophysiological (disease) states.

 

This degree provides you with a thorough understanding of how the human body functions in health and disease, from individual molecules and cells up to the whole organism. Physiology underpins many of the biomedical, clinical and healthcare sciences.
 
We focus on organs such as the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain and gastrointestinal tract to provide you with a broad and integrated understanding of human body function.
