Chemistry (with Industrial Training Year) MChem Honours (F106)

This professionally accredited MChem degree includes an industrial placement year and a year of advanced study at Master's level.

It provides a good basis for a PhD or career in research.

In your first two years, you study the main areas of the subject, such as organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry.

In Stage 3 you take a paid year in industry. It is a great opportunity for you to gain first-hand experience in the chemical sector and some host companies offer their placement students a job after they graduate.

In your fourth year, you take advanced modules and conduct an extended research project in an area of chemistry of your choice. Supported by our expert research staff, you'll be contributing to knowledge at the cutting edge of the field.
