Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary)

This program will equip you with the knowledge and skills to support children from Year 1 to Year 8 (typically aged 5-13) in their learning and development. You will get the tools you need to prepare you for 21st-century classrooms where digital learning is key, building strong relationships is vital and diversity is welcomed. You will learn and be taught basic proficiency in te Reo M?ori.

Academics who are experts in the field of Education and passionate about supporting the next generation of teachers will deliver a mixture of face-to-face lectures, tutorials and workshops, and online learning. You will learn to teach the eight learning areas of English, The Arts, Health and Physical Education, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology and Learning, and Languages.

PSW Opportunity

  • During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
  • After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
  • After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.
