Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Supervision

Develop your clinical and professional supervision skills while learning alongside practitioners from a wide range of professions. Grow your skillset through short block-courses and online flexible self-directed study, with feedback from peers and lecturers. This multi-disciplinary program is designed to meet the demand for qualified supervisors in social and human services.

Throughout the program, you will examine the concept, role, purpose, and benefits of supervision in a wide range of professions. Exploring the range of theoretical and practical models and approaches to professional supervision, you’ll learn about a framework for anti-oppressive supervision practice, study cross-cultural dynamics and develop and integrate advanced knowledge, skills, and values of professional supervision.

PSW Opportunity

  • During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
  • After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
  • After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Programme requirements
 
You must have completed an undergraduate degree from a recognised university (or similar institution) and be currently employed in health, counselling, social services, legal services, education, human services, or similar professional context.

You will also need at least three years’ experience in health, counselling, social services, legal services, education, human services, or similar professions.

If you are an international applicant whose first language is not English you will need to provide evidence of your English proficiency.

You will require an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 with no bands less than 6.0.
