- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Students must have completed a related undergraduate degree from a recognised higher education institution, with at least 8 courses completed in the area of study of their thesis topic. A level of high achievement in the intended area of study will need to be demonstrated. These will be considered the minimum entry requirements and won't automatically guarantee a student's entry into the program. Enrolment is contingent upon the Faculty's capacity to provide appropriate supervisor in the intended field of study.

- All India Senior School Certificate – awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with a minimum grade average of 60% or better in the best 4 academic subjects in final year and and overall First Division results;
or - Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) with a minimum grade average of 60% or better in the best 4 academic subjects in final year and overall First Division results;
or - State board exams, other than Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) and Haryana State Education Board (HSEB), with a minimum grade average of 65% average across the 4 best academic subjects in the final year and overall First Division results;
or - Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) and Haryana State Education Board (HSEB) exams, with a minimum grade average of 70% average across the 4 best academic subjects in the final year and overall First Division results; and
- All applicants must have at least 50% in the theory component (where applicable) of any subject.
