Events is an increasingly popular industry to work in, offering a huge variety of prospects across a variety of sporting and cultural sectors. York and North Yorkshire is home to many of these world renowned activities including the Ebor Festival, Illuminating York, Tour de Yorkshire, the Great Yorkshire Show and Leeds Festival, plus many localised events.  York has recently been designated a UNESCO City of Media Arts.
